Rotary International was founded by a group of people whose wish was to dignify each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society. The Rotary Club of Pelham does its part by honoring individuals in the community whose service and professionalism exemplify the ideals of Rotary and benefit the community as a whole.

Each year Pelham Rotarians nominate various individuals in the public and private sector to receive these awards. A selection committee then chooses the winners from the pool of nominees. Typically, the winners must exhibit high moral conduct in their day-to-day business activities, provide their customers and patrons with an exceptional level of customer service, and provide a meaningful benefit to their workplace and the community as a whole. The winners are invited to a weekly Rotary meeting where they are recognized and awarded with a certificate and given a monetary reward.

By recognizing hard working and honest people in the community, we believe that we can encourage the ideals of Rotary throughout our community as well as identify potential members who would make great Rotarians.
